Foreigner in Warlarp?

What is Warlarp?
Warlarp is a number of danish larps with the same theme, the coming being the fifth in the row. They are, very shortly explained, Warhammer Fantasy Battle as Larp. People sign up in regiments which ar divided between two sides by the organisers, who also frame the battle within a story. These sides fight a number of skirmishes and smaller battles during the larp and, in the end, fight a decisive battle to see which side is the victor.

A lot of the game is centered around non-fighting parts; soldier discipline, waiting (as any soldier does), doing chores in the camp, etc. However, fighting is naturally a central part of the game.

There have been between 200-450 participants in the previous games, and the game itself lasts 2 days. In addition, setting up and cleaning up is mandatory for all participants, and lasts the day before and the day after the game.

I am not danish - can I participate?
So far, we have had no groups that consisted totally of people not understanding danish. However, for this Warlarp we are accepting up to two groups consisting totally of people not understanding danish. However, we have a few requirements:

The danish participants are not requested to speak english to accomodate the foreign players. The language-barrier is an ingame, as well as an offgame thing. Exactly how we will explain this ingame should be discussed with the organisers.

We will not translate all material into english for you. We will help translate central texts and make sure you understand what is needed, but this is not an international game as such, and we will not spend ressources trying to make it that, when we instead can spend those same, limited ressources making a great game.

When that is said, we would stille love to get one or two groups of foreign players. If you are interested, contact Kåre at kaare@krigslive.dk.
